If you would like to receive Jesus into your life, say the following prayer out loud and mean it from your heart:
Before or after you have prayed the prayer above, please explore the links below, especially the first one, "God's Plan of Salvation". This is a wonderful resource that explains the steps to Salvation, and what to do after you have given your life to Christ! I have read all of the information on the links below and have been so blessed by it that I felt compelled to share it. Interestingly, my older niece became a Christian on August 1 of 2010, and one of the lessons she studied in her Foundation Class was the "Five Principles of Spiritual Growth". She was baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ on November 28 of the same year!
Lord Jesus, I come to You admitting that I am a sinner. Right now, I choose to turn away from sin, and I ask You to cleanse me of all unrighteousness. I believe that You were born of a virgin, died on the cross to take away my sins, were buried, and on the third day, God the Father raised You from the dead so that I would be forgiven of my sins and made righteous* through faith in You. I repent of my sins and as I open the door of my heart, I call upon You, Lord Jesus, to come into my heart, and to be the Savior and Lord of my life. Jesus, I choose to follow You and I declare that right now I am a child of God. I am free from the burden of sin and full of the righteousness of God. I am saved in Jesus’ name. Amen.
After you have prayed the prayer above, please begin to read your Bible daily and pray daily to strengthen your relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ and your understanding of Who He is. The next step in your spiritual walk is to be baptized, in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission (removal) of sin, and to pray for the infilling of the Holy Spirit (the Spirit of God that dwells within the believer):
"Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost." (Acts 2:38).
It is also vitally important to fellowship and worship with other Christians and to join a church body where the unadulterated word of God is taught and preached. Here, I would encourage you to pray and ask God what your calling and ministry are, as well as to pray to know your purpose:
"Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:” (Matthew 7:7)
